Introduction

The staff of the Dr. John Archer Library and Archives want users to feel comfortable while pursuing their studies and/or research in our building. We recognize that sometimes food and beverage play a role in studying and learning. However, when studying or undertaking research in the University Archives Reading Room, which houses the University of Regina’s Special Collections, food and beverages, can attract rodents, insects and be damaging to the special and archival collections.

Scope

This policy covers all users of the Dr. John Archer Library and Archives, both internal and external to the University of Regina.

Policy

Library users will refrain from using food and beverages in the “NO Food” area:

  •     NO FOOD Area: Archives and Special Collections Reading Room (LY 107.4)
