How can I refine my search?
Quickfind brings up so many results! What are my options for limiting the search?
Answer
When you submit a search in Quick Find and find yourself on the results page, you have many options for limiting your search along the left-hand side of the screen.
Some of the most useful filters are:
- "Peer-reviewed journals" limits your results to articles that have undergone peer-review
- "In Library" limits your results to items physically in the library building
- "Resource Type" lets you pick the format of the results, such as limiting to books, or audio visual, etc.
- "Publication Date" lets you limit your results to a range of years
- "Library" and "Location" allow you to filter results based on where they are held
- "New Records" lets you see only the results that have been added to the library most recently
